When you see Khalid Khannouchi run through the hills of Central Park or on the trails of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, his quick and measured gait is a giveaway. He was built to run. His father could see it when he was a boy, and gently encouraged Khannouchi to trade his passion for soccer for the solitary distances near his Moroccan hometown.
